Cloud Computing- the All in All Service

Overview of Internet Information Services 5.0 Cloud computing is a service offered by a vast number of data centers which run servers to make applications, storage and other services available online. The term cloud when used in information technology basically refers to the universality of the internet. This system of cloud computing has been in existence since the 1960s and has undergone levels of evolution to cope up with the continuous changes in technology. The most common benefit that a cloud computing can give to the user is the power and ability to access different applications as well as store data using different computers without carrying around a physical storage hardware. As long as a connection to the internet is available, any person who subscribes to the cloud computing service can enjoy such benefit. However, in case the internet connection fails, the subscriber cannot access the program and data stored using cloud computing.

Another concept that is confused with cloud computing is cloud storage. Cloud storage differs from cloud computing because the former is limited only to the service of storing information or data. Cloud computing offers a broader range of services. Both concepts, nevertheless, are being provided through a server or location which is remote from the user subscribed to the service.

Cloud computing can be accessed by devices other than a computer and most people use this facility. It can be utilized using mobile phones that can accommodate web browsers. These devices are generally and technically known as cloud clients since they are dependent on the cloud services. When clients subscribe to the service providers, they can utilize the various applications without needing to install the same software to the gadget concerned, thus, causing them to save memory spaces. There are also operating systems that also rely on cloud computing. Cloud computing is an all in all service.
